I never used to wear skirts because I was never a big fan of them. They used to consist of a little fabric wrapped around a woman’s waist and were extremely short. I always thought they were uncomfortable and classless because they were always made so short and rode up when girls walked. However, skirts are starting to be made with more class ans more fabric. There are so many different styles to choose from now and they can be worn so many different ways. They can be dressed up or down, worn with heels, flats, or boots, and worn with tights, stockings, or bare legs.

Skirts are getting more and more creative by the season. Tutus are now being worn as everyday skirts and not just when dancing. Frilly skirts are in now or should I say back in (i.e. Tina Turner). Skirts with asymmetrical shapes are in as well. The biggest thing about skirts that has changed from the past is that women are now wearing high waist skirts. Sequence skirts are also in. Below is a variety of skirts that women are wearing now and look great. Skirts are a fun and interesting way to be fashionable and creative and there are so many fun skirts to choose from. So be creative and have fun with them.

Women are always trying to find a way to make their legs look long, lean, tone, and sexy. We usually do this by wearing a pear of shorts or capri pants with a great heel or pump. Well, now there is a way to make your legs look great with pants on. Skinny jeans are it! For those of you who do not know what skinny jeans are, they are jeans that are worn tight from the top to the bottom. There is no flare at the bottom of the jean. Instead, the are tight around the ankle.

You can wear them with heels or you can wear them with a great flat. They come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. By shapes I am referring to the fact that some skinny jeans bunch at the bottom, some have zippers at the bottom, and some have buttins at the bottom. The key thing about the jean is the fact that they are tight, not only through the leg, but at the bottom where your ankles are as well. The great thing about skinny jeans is that you can easily put a pair of great boots on top of them. With regular flare jeans you have to push all the excess jean into the boot in order to wear the boot on top of your pants. Then you have all the excess jean hanging out and it looks weird, bit with skinny jeans you don’t have that problem. You can just slip the boot over the jean. Their like tights but jeans instead. They make your legs and thighs look great while being fashionable. Also, you can wear them with just about anything. They are very easy to find because you can get them at any clothing store.

So most women love a good pump. Heels have a way of making a woman’s legs look long, lean ,and sexy. The sexiest heel a woman can wear is a stiletto. Stiletto’s have a longer, thinner, heel and a higher arch to them. They give a woman’s leg an elongated look while creating a stronger and more tone looking calf and thigh.

Since it is winter boots are in. Although many women tend to wear a high, flat boot there is a new type of boot that is in this season. They are heel ankle boots. They are a mix between pumps and boots. They function as being cute, classy, fashionable while keeping your feet warm.

Ankle Heel Boots:

You can wear these shoes with virtually anything. You can pear them with tights like in the picture to the right. By wearing them with a cocktail dress you give a moderately elegant look. You can also keep it casual by wearing them with jeans, skinny or loose leg. However, skinny jeans would be the best jean to wear them with because the shoe would fit better over the jean and give a cleaner look. You can also wear them with a skirt or Capri pants which also give different looks. Ladies use the pictures below as a reference point.

As the weather gets colder women still want to be able to wear skirts and dresses. Now they can because tights are in and they come in all different styles and colors. I have even seen shorts with tights under them and when worn right it looks avant garde chic. Tights are also a great way to make your legs look tone and lean. Here are some ideas and looks when putting tights with an outfit.

There are three different types of tights in this picture. The first (from left to right) are a thicker type of tight. The outfit looks good since she downplayed all the colors and the only hint of vibrancy is the electric blue tights. Therefore, ladies, if you are going to wear a bright color tight make sure the other colors you wear are low key colors. The middle picture are lace tights and she is wearing them with a short jumper. The look is also great because the tights compliment the jumper and she added a hint of color with her bag. The last picture is one of animal printed tights. These have to be worn a certain way or they can look horrible. The skirt she chooses to wear with the outfit is not great, she could have chosen a better one, but the outfit overall isn’t too bad.These pictures are high fashion, chic, examples of how to pair tights with an outfit. These are some examples of tights with intereting patterns, most of them are lace. Ladies this is what you should look for when shopping.

Lately there has been a trend with some women who are wearing tights with holes in them. It is NOT fashionable! In fact it looks trashy! The point is to look as classy and high fashion as possible while keeping up with the trends. Here are some examples of how NOT to wear tights.

The holes in Miley Cyrus’s tights make her look more like a hooker and less like a classy young woman. The fact that her skirt is way too short doesn’t help her outfit out either. Brittney Spears’ tights make her look like a bum and cheap because the holes do not look intentional. Ladies, please do not try to execute these looks because they are not on the fashionable side at all.

This is another example of a woman who is wearing tights to compliment her outfit and instead makes her look trashy.

Ladies, I think you get the point. When wearing tights make sure they are clean,

and fashionable. Try to focus on wearing lace tights or tights with prints and stay away from ones with holes. If you are wearing a bright color tight or a animal printed tight then the rest of your outfit should be played down with low key colors, prints, and accessories.
